12th Ashton Guides
Welcome
Guides, parents, family, friends, future
Guides and supporters.
Guides on this website you will find information on Go For It’s or GFI's
(you need to complete at least 2 of these a year as a Guide to achieve
your challenge badge),
Badges, making your Promise, our uniform, and
the fun stuff we like to get up to.

We are part of
Ashton Girlguiding which is in Manchester County.
Manchester County is in the North West Region of England. Each of these
parts of Guiding have their own website too.

Girlguiding UK has a
Parents Section which has fantastic information.

Uniform is chosen by yourselves from this
range and can be worn
immediately. 12th Ashton Guides like to wear AWD varsity hoodies which
we have especially made, you can even have your nickname printed on
the back these cost £20 each.  12th Ashton Guides designed their own
neckerchiefs these can only be bought from the unit as they are
embroidered with our unit name & logo
.  Hoodies & neckerchiefs along
with all other uniform/gift orders can be ordered via a leader at the unit
meeting place.  Please make payment when ordering.  We endeavor to
have all orders the following week, with the exception of hoodies which
can take up to 3 weeks.

You have your own Unit
Guidelines, which need signing yearly these
Guidelines must be signed by all Guides and Leaders alike.  It is the rules
of how our Unit is run and only Guides and Leaders who feel able to keep
these rules can sign them and be a member of 12th Ashton Guide Unit.

Notices are e-mailed/texted to be economically friendly, to save
administration costs, and to ensure they are received and not mislaid in
bags or left behind.  Please make sure you give us a Parent and a Guide e-
mail address either via the contact us section or at the next meeting.

As a unit member you will be given a copy of the Programme at the start
of every term you are expected to bring this every week in case we need
to make any amendments. A calendar can be found in the foyer if parents
are unsure what is happening when!

From September 2011 a welcome sling bag will be issued to new Guides on
their 3rd consecutive visit upon payment of advanced subs which will
include information to be returned by Parent/Guardian the sling bag can
be used to keep your Guide items in.
